Electric Power Board

The Electric Power Board of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County was formed in 1939 when Nashville took over the power producing and distribution divisions of Tennessee Electric Power Company (TEPCO). NES is the official operating name for the Electric Power Board, whose five members are appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council to serve five-year staggered terms without pay.
