NES Video Contest Official RulesNashville Electric Service (NES) is sponsoring a free Video Contest described below as part of NES’ In-Home Evaluation Promotion for the opportunity to win one of four prizes. No purchase necessary to win. Void where prohibited.
Entrants may enter the contest by writing and producing a short, creative video about conserving energy and why they need a professional In-Home Energy Evaluation at their home.
Entrants may use video, web or cell phone cameras to create their videos. Videos can be up to five minutes in length. All entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CST on June 11, 2010.
Eligibility Restrictions The contest is open to Nashville Electric Service customers who are legal residents of the United States at the time of entry and who are 18 years of age or older. The Grand Prize and Second Place winners must be homeowners to receive their prize. Employees of NES and their families are ineligible to win.
1. A team of independent judges chosen by NES will select three video finalists based on originality, creativity, and content. NES customers will be invited to review and rank the selected videos on NES’ YouTube channel - www.youtube.com/NashvilleElectric. The panel of judges will make the final decision on the grand prize winner; 2nd-place winner; and 3rd-place winner.
2. The video contest begins April 1, 2010 and ends June 12, 2010 at midnight CST.
3. Consumer Discloser: NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY. The grand prize winner will receive a free In-Home Energy Evaluation valued at $150 and up to $4,500 in recommended energy efficiency improvements such as air sealing, duct sealing, and attic insulation provided by E3 INNOVATE. The 2nd-place winner will receive a free In-Home Energy Evaluation valued at $150. The 3rd-place winner will receive a $100 gift card from Home Depot. The fan favorite winner will receive a Flip Video camcorder.
4. To enter the NES Video Contest, follow these rules: · Create and upload your video to www.YouTube.com. · Download the video contest registration form online at www.nespower.com and email to lparker@nespower.com. · If your video is approved, it will be posted to our YouTube channel, which “officially” enters it into the contest. You will receive an email confirmation when your video is approved.
5. Obscene, pornographic, violent, libelous, disparaging, or otherwise offensive material will be disqualified. The enforcement and interpretation of this rule will be at the discretion of the judges.
6. Winners will be notified by email and on the NES website.
7. Prizes will be awarded to the individual who registered each winning entry.
8. The winner of the contest must supply NES with legal name, mailing address, birth date, and daytime and nighttime telephone numbers. The winner must complete and return the video contest registration form to lparker@nespower.com. Winner must present legal photo identification within 30 days of notification of winning the prize. Upon verification of ID and after NES has received the final video file(s), prizes will be awarded to the winners. If verification has not been made within 30 days of notification, winner will forfeit prize and the prize will not be awarded.
9. NES reserves the right to alter the contest at any time. NES reserves the right to not complete the contest and/or award prizes if the number of entrants is too small or the quality of videos (entries) is inadequate.
10. By agreeing to the rules of this contest, you transfer ownership and copyright of your video to NES. This will give NES the perpetual right to use, reproduce, display, transmit, modify, license, and otherwise make use of your submitted video entry on its web site and in any and all media for any purpose. You will also be giving NES the right to use your name, likeness, and location in connection with the video.
11. You acknowledge that by submitting your entry, you are not infringing on the rights of any intellectual property owner, and that any identifiable person who appears in your video has provided express written consent to appear and passes along all rights for use of their name and likeness for whatever use of your video NES sees fit.
12. You hold NES harmless from any claims of any nature arising in connection with your entry. NES is not responsible for lost, late, or unintelligible entries; lost connections; miscommunications; failed transmissions; or other technical difficulties or failures.
13. You acknowledge that by submitting your entry, you agree and comply with YouTube's Website Terms of Use.

Judging Criteria
A team of independent judges will choose the three prize Winners, based on the following criteria: 40% - Content & delivery of message in relation to stated goals 35% - Creativity & originality in idea, presentation, and interpretation 25% - Quality of the production
