NES' Leonard Leech New Chairman of UTCFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - June 13, 2005 NASHVILLE, TN- Leonard Leech, Design Engineering Manager for Nashville Electric Service, has been elected Chairman of the United Telecom Council (UTC) for 2005-2006. Leech served as Vice Chairman of the board in 2004. Leech has been a loyal employee of NES for the last 41 years. His responsibilities include transmission and distribution planning, control design, communications and system protection. Leech is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Tennessee. He is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University and University of Tennessee. The United Telecom Council is a global trade association whose members own, manage or provide critical telecommunications systems in support of their core business. Founded in 1948 to advocate for the allocation of additional radio spectrum for power utilities, UTC represents international electric, gas, and water utilities; natural gas pipelines; critical infrastructure companies and other industry stakeholders. - end -
