Your Home Rates

Our Energy Rates are set and regulated by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).  The current residential energy charge is 8.360¢ per kilowatt hour.  An average NES home uses approximately 1,300 kWh per month.  

Your bill also reflects a Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA) approved by the TVA board.  The Fuel Cost Adjustment for April, May, and June is 0.575 cents per kWh, which for the average residential customer amounts to an increase of about $7.48 on a monthly electric bill.  An adjustment will be made every quarter (January, April, July, October).
