Update on Winners

The grand-prize winners of our first ever "Go Green on the Silver Screen" video contest were shocked to learn just how many kilowatts were escaping from their home each month.

Gretchen Knapp and Jason O’Brien won a much needed In-Home Energy Evaluation and $4,500 in energy efficiency improvements provided by E3 INNOVATE. Watch as the couple’s home gets an energy makeover.

The grand prize includes a free In-Home Energy Evaluation and up to $4,500 in energy efficiency improvements provided by E3 INNOVATE. The 2nd place winner receives an In-Home Energy Evaluation valued at $150, 3rd place gets a $100 gift card from Home Depot, and the Fan Favorite (as voted on YouTube) wins a Flip Video camcorder.

Contest Details

Our “Go Green on the Silver Screen” video contest is your chance to shine. Grab your video camera and tell us why you need an In-Home Energy Evaluation to help you lower your electric bills and save money.

The videos will be judged by a panel of energy experts and fans will have a chance to vote on their favorites. Check out the Fan Favorite section for details on voting.

How to Enter

Upload your video to www.youtube.com. (*Note: If you don't have a free YouTube account, you will need to create one in order to upload your video.)
Download and return the video contest registration form (include URL link to video entry).
If your video is approved, it will be posted to our YouTube channel, which officially enters it into the contest. You will receive an email confirmation when your video is approved.
Please read the Official Rules before registering. All Entrants agree to the Rules by submitting their video entry.

When do I have to do it?

The contest deadline was Friday, May 7, but due to the major flooding crisis in Middle Tennessee, NES has decided to extend the deadline until Friday, June 11. The winners will be announced on June 25.

April 1, 2010 – Contest begins
June 11, 2010 – Extended deadline for submission of videos
June 25, 2010 – Winners announced

What can I win?

Grand Prize: In-Home Energy Evaluation valued at $150 and up to $4,500 in recommended energy efficiency improvements such as air sealing, duct sealing, and attic insulation provided by E3 INNOVATE.

2nd place: In-Home Energy Evaluation valued at $150

3rd place: $100 gift card from Home Depot

Fan Favorite (as voted on YouTube): Flip Video camcorder

Judging Criteria

A panel of independent judges will choose three winners based on specific judging criteria.
