Critical Referral Program

If you or a family member relies on a life-sustaining medical device at home, please inform us by taking the steps below. NES’ Critical Referral program is for residents who require an electrically powered life-sustaining medical device on a continual basis.

To Apply:

Submit the Critical Referral Form embedded at the bottom of this page.
Have your physician submit the Critical Referral Verification Letter using the directions in the letter.
You will be enrolled once NES receives the Critical Referral Verification from your physician.
Your physician must resubmit the verification letter every two years.

Critical Referral customers receive priority status during individual outages; however, during a widespread outage, system repairs must be completed before individual outages can be addressed. Severe storms can cause significant damage that could take days to repair. It is important to have a backup plan in place for extended outages.
