If you or a family member relies on a life-sustaining medical device at home, please inform us by taking the steps below. NES’ Critical Referral program is for residents who require an electrically powered life-sustaining medical device on a continual basis.
To Apply:
- Submit the Critical Referral Form embedded at the bottom of this page.
- Have your physician submit the Critical Referral Verification Letter using the directions in the letter.
- You will be enrolled once NES receives the Critical Referral Verification from your physician.
- Your physician must resubmit the verification letter every two years.
Critical Referral customers receive priority status during individual outages; however, during a widespread outage, system repairs must be completed before individual outages can be addressed. Severe storms can cause significant damage that could take days to repair. It is important to have a backup plan in place for extended outages.
