Important Updates

Important Information about the Deferred Compensation Plan of NES and the NES Defined Contribution Plan

Exciting changes are coming! We are pleased to announce that the recordkeeper for the Deferred Compensation Plan of NES and the NES Defined Contribution Plan are changing from Empower to Voya Financial® (Voya®). This change will offer an enhanced participant experience and access to state of the art tools to help you prepare for your financial future. The transition will begin at 3 p.m. CT on September 19, 2024, and conclude the week of September 30, 2024. A notification will be sent once the transition is complete.

During the blackout period, a transition website will be available where you can learn more about Voya, the transition, new tools that will be available, and more!

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

No action is required at this time. Your account balances, loans, investment and contribution rate elections, and beneficiaries will automatically transfer from Empower to Voya.

Although no action is required, now is a perfect time for you to:

  • Make sure your current mailing and email addresses are on file.
  • Review your beneficiaries on file with Empower.
  • Review your contribution rate elections.

IMPORTANT DATES:

Week of August 26- You will be mailed a blackout notice to your address on file. This notice will outline the blackout period, a time during which you will temporarily be unable to direct or diversify investments or request a distribution.

Visit go.voya.com/NESPower or scan the QR code found in the black out notice to receive additional details about the Plan transition and learn more about Voya.

September 19, 2024 – Blackout period begins at 3 p.m. CT.

Week of September 30, 2024 – The transition to Voya and blackout period are complete. You will be able to log in to NESPower.voya.com and register your Plan account.

Metro Healthcare Incentive Program

NES employees, retirees, and dependents can receive free medical services at Metro General Hospital. Metro Healthcare Incentive Program (MHIP) helps you save money with not copays and no coinsurance needed. 

 

New Musculoskeletal Benefit

NES has added a new benefit Kaia, a virtual exercise therapy program to help you enjoy a pain-free life and get back to doing things you need to do and love to do.

New Diabetes Health Benefit

NES is excited to partner with DayTwo to offer a new benefit for type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes and weight management. DayTwo offers a breakthrough approach that provides personalized blood sugar predictions based on your gut microbiome. Retirees and their dependents on the NES medical plan are eligible to participate, but space is limited. Participation is voluntary and confidential. Pension Information

The Electric Power Board approved a two (2) percent cost of living increase to your current monthly annuity from Nashville Electric Service, effective January 1, 2024. The total amount of your increase will be applied to the amount you receive from SEI.  If you receive a monthly annuity from John Hancock, that amount will remain the same.
